End of 2011

It's officially the last day of 2011. It's bizarre how fast this year went. In just a few short months, I'll be getting married. I have a lot I want to accomplish in 2012. I guess this is like a resolution list.

1. Get married. This means that I want to be a fabulous wife and step mom, and also, I'd like us to have a really fun, stress free wedding. Fingers crossed. It's already stressful.

2. Get pregnant. We will see if my body gets in line with the program.

3. Get in shape. I'm already doing the 30 day shred and using spark people to count my calories, so hopefully I'll be back to where I was.

4. Pick up a hobby. All I do is watch tv and work. This has got to change.

5. Spend more time with my friends. See above as to why

I'm sure there's more I want to do, like learn new recipes and whatnot. But those five are the biggies.

30 Day Shred: day one

Oh, Jillian Michaels, you evil bitch. My legs are burning and I did the workout 7 hours ago. It's going to be a long month.

In other news, J is out of town until Saturday. This is the longest we've been apart since moving in together 7 months ago. I feel kind of lost!

Working out

I am going to start Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred on December 1st. I've been getting chubby lately and that needs to stop! Who's with me?

Dude, has it really been 2 months since my last post? Wow. Okay. I'll write a better one soon, but for now, know this: I'm getting married in 2 months and we have been trying to get me knocked up for 3 weeks now. Stay tuned ;)

Step-woes

I'd like to be focused 100% on planning the wedding but I keep getting hit with distractions. Like, my future husband's ex-wife. She decided to attack me in the middle of Target the other day. Screaming. At me. In front of the kids. Because she doesn't like the fact that I'm involved in her daughter's life.

It was really cruel.

I just want to plan the wedding, folks.

Dream Dress

So I promised myself I wouldn't be a bride-y bride, meaning I wouldn't be caught up in the material aspects of the wedding. Instead, I'd focus on the marriage. And while I am still focused on the marriage...I found my dream dress.

Look at that victorian styled coat! And the black belt on the otherwise traditional white dress. The embroidery. And in case you didn't notice it, THE COAT. The designer is Justin Alexander, and my local bridal shop actually carries his work. I'm going down there tomorrow to request a sample of this dress to try on. I have no idea how I'll afford it, but I have to have this dress. Once I saw it, I started crying and damn near hyperventilating. And that is NOT me, normally. I am in love with this dress. 

I need to marry J in this dress. I can see it so clearly in my mind. 

I wish it was winter. I don't enjoy summer.

Macabre Flowers

This blog is hopefully going to be a semi-interesting outlet for me to share my life. I am, in no particular order, a police dispatcher, a fiancee, and a soon to be stepmom. I life with my soon to be husband and his 3 year old daughter.

We're getting married in Las Vegas in 4 months!

So I'm hoping to write about our wedding as it falls into place, and to write about what it's like to be a stepmom. I like "gothic" things (although I hate that term for some reason, it just reminds me of being 13 years old and crawling around the mall)...so consider this your macabre mama blog. I'm not really all that creepy, even if the Grim Reaper is our wedding ceremony officiant.
